Mr. Bus was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan.  Attended Calvin College 1971-1973; University of Michigan, BA, 1975; University of Toledo, JD, 1979.  Bar - Michigan 1979, US District Court, Michigan, 1979.  Associate at Stanley, Davidoff & Gray - Kalamazoo, 1981-1983.  Opened Debt Relief Law Center in Kalamazoo, 1983 to current.

Roger Bus has been a member of the Federal Bar Association and the State Bar of Michigan since 1979 when he began as a staff attorney for the Legal Aid Society of SW Michigan. Roger has been a past invited panel speaker for the Debtors Bar of West Michigan Seminar and for the FBA Bankruptcy Section Seminar. Roger is a past member of the American Bar Association, American Bankruptcy Institute, Who's Who in America, The National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys, and The University of Michigan Alumni Association. Roger's father, Charles Bus, was an elected Justice of the Peace for Portage Township; and his mother, Sena Bus, was an administrative assistant for Kalamazoo County and Chief Judge Hon. James Casey.  His daughter, Emily, is a teacher in the Portage Public Schools and his son, Stephen, resides in Chapel Hill, N.C.
 
Locally, Roger Bus has served as the elected Chairman of the Board of the Kalamazoo Gospel Mission, the elected President of the Kalamazoo SE Gideon's Camp, and served as an elected Elder at Calvary Bible Church and Richland Bible Church.
